Journey "Into Africa" through the lens of National Geographic photographer Frans Lanting, whose images have created an enduring vision of Africa s diverse landscapes and wildlife. "Into Africa: The Poster Collection" showcases a range of the most iconic and stunning photography from Frans Lanting s landmark exhibit, which features more than thirty years of fieldwork by Lanting, one of the world s most renowned natural history photographers. The exhibit is produced by National Geographic in partnership with the Smithsonian s National Museum of Natural History with support from the World Wildlife Fund. This visually stunning collection reveals Africa s powerful, unique landscapes, which are home to some of the most celebrated scenery and endangered animals on this planet. Over the course of Lanting s many trips to the birthplace of humanity, he encountered otherworldly vistas, from the Serengeti Plains to the Okavango Delta, and captured once-in-a-lifetime moments of intimacy with some of the world s most iconic animals, from elephants, rhinos, and cheetahs to chimps, gorillas, and the lemurs of Madagascar all revealed here through stunning photography. This poster collection features the top twenty images from the exhibit, selected by the photographer. Each oversized, full-color poster is printed on high-quality card stock paper and can be easily pulled from the book, allowing lovers of photography, nature, and wildlife to bring the wilds of Africa into their home or office."
