He contributed for many years to Automobile Magazine and Road & Track and has written six books--Scarab: Race Log of the All-American Specials; Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman (with coauthor Matt Stone); History's Greatest Automotive Mysteries, Myths, and Rumors Revealed (also with Matt Stone); Speed Read Ferrari: The History, Technology and Design Behind Italy's Legendary Automaker; and Ford GT: How Ford Silenced the Critics, Humbled Ferrari and Won Le Mans. He's also the author of a novel, Fools on the Hill.
