Evans, Virginia: - Virginia Caroline Evans is the sixth child of Mildred and Red Evans. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she grew up with five older siblings whose ages spanned 22 years. Though her parents were older, they raised her to love LSU football, home-cooked meals, and precious time with her family. Virginia graduated from LSU in 1991, and LSU Law School in 1996. She has spent most of her career helping clients with real estate, estate planning, and successions; however, she is currently enjoying her position with the Louisiana Department of Justice. She is also looking forward to writing a sequel to The Youngest Bee as well as a work of fiction.
When not working, Virginia enjoys traveling to see her family, and attending musicals and plays with her teenage daughter. She loves sharing her valuable experience as a daughter and caregiver of an Alzheimer's patient and helping others cope with aging parents. She currently lives in Baton Rouge, and has two daughters, a dog, and a cat. She survives by always maintaining a sense of humor.
