Born in Greece in 1936 and educated in America, Taki Theodoracopulos began his career as an international tennis player before finding his true calling as a writer. For nearly five decades, his celebrated High Life column in The Spectator has offered readers an insider's look at the worlds of politics, culture, and high society. Taki co-founded The American Conservative with Pat Buchanan in 2002, and later founded Taki's Magazine in 2007. In addition to writing for The Spectator, he has been a regular contributor for National Review, Vanity Fair, and Esquire (when they were still good). He lives in New York and Gstaad, and is the author of several books, including his latest memoir, The Last Alpha Male.
