She is a recipient of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists' Catchers in the Rye Humanitarian Award. Dr. Song serves as director of the Division of Child, Adolescent and Family Psychiatry and professor of psychiatry at George Washington University. She serves on task forces with the world's experts on the mental health of people in humanitarian settings.
