As in the first book, the author shows the reader n how to design quilts using styles and colours to create beautiful, n Japanese-style quilts. The book covers materials, colour and n patterns and then moves on to equipment and techniques such as piecing n by machine, part-sewn seams, half squares and corner squares, applique n methods and finishing - embroidery and embellishments as well as n joining blocks and finally assembling. The book is very different n from the first volume in that it uses a completely different range of n colours and provides the reader with 125 new patterns. n
